A Remarkable end to 2021 with my Kihim trip

Introduction
I was asleep on a lazy Saturday morning… Or Afternoon… My aunt woke me up by saying that her daughter meaning my cousin is coming down to Mumbai from Canada next month.
I was extremely delighted to meet my cousin after 2 years and she missed my mom’s fried fish recipe, Ah Heck, I love it too!
Her husband decided that we’d plan a trip along with our whole family, And Alibaug and Kihim were the best places we could decide.
We invited everyone and planned a 3 days trip to Kihim and started booking a resort and everything else that was required.
By reading my blog post, You will get an idea about where to stay, what things are required, what rides you can enjoy at the beach, and everything else.
Ready for the stunning ride? Let’s go?
Going to Alibaug and Kihim from Mumbai

I would strongly recommend you to book a bus if you guys are a group of 10-12 people. The road trip to Alibaug or Kihim is equally fascinating as the trip itself.
But you can’t take the bus through the ferry ride, that’s the disadvantage. Otherwise, you will have to take three cars which may cost you even more.
But trust me, Both the options are worth it. You will enjoy during the journey like nothing else.
If you are with your family then it’s an icing on the cake!
You will get to talk a lot with them ❤️
You or your family members might be occupied during the day with their work or business so optimize this opportunity to speak to them. It’s a wonderful experience, Trust me!
A Bus trip will give you slightly more time to reach your destination but in a way, it’s much better!
The sea route on the other hand is quicker & gives you a mesmerizing view of the blue sea and riding on the ferry is an experience you should get at least once in your lifetime.
My only point is – If you have more people, Always prefer booking a bus rather than multiple cars.
The Aarhah Beach Resort

The Aarhah Holiday home was the best place we could have got!
Due to us being 11 members, We booked the entire hotel, No one in the holiday home but just our family
The crew of the beach resort was amazing! Never made us feel like we were not at home.
Served us delicious Alibaug special Seafood, Especially their Malwani style Crispy fried Pomfret and Surmai!
Their rates were ridiculously cheap (Thanks to the discount my brother in law managed to get)
I don’t remember the exact amount, Sorry about that.

This is not some regular Maharashtrian food you get at any restaurant in Mumbai, There were too many items to eat hence could not take the picture of all since I was amazed by the taste and just concentrated on munching it! 😛
The most fabulous thing for me was the delicious sol kadi that maushi made over there!
The odor of the food was equally tempting not just for us but also for two special guests residing in the holiday home before us…
Here are they… Quite mischievous btw, But extremely cute and friendly 🙂

I love cats, But this little one here caught me by surprise, He just came out of nowhere and sat next to my feet hoping that I will hand over the delicious fish to him, Of course, I would not blame him!
Oh absolutely forgot to show you the lawn of the place!
I wouldn’t say it’s a bigger lawn but big enough for you to play cricket or badminton, Or just swing and rest on the hammock.

It was evening and all of us were craving some ‘Chai’ and maushi made us all wonderful tea that was worth a second glass!
If you are going to Kihim, This is the most ideal place to stay – Check it out here
The beach was just a 2 minutes walk from the resort! 🏖️
The Kihim Beach

Visiting the beach and watching the glory of the sunset has always been a magnificent experience for any individual… It was no different for me…
What made it even more beautiful was watching the baby in our group making her sandcastles and playing in the water.
I Loved making sandcastles when I was a kid too, Took me straight to 2001!
But the Kihim beach is just not restricted to a few games, There are many games such as boat paragliding, Horse riding, and Speed Boat ride.
But be careful while you are enjoying the water, A Couple of jellyfish bit my relative, and also, there are many broken glass bottles along the beaches.
The Ending

I always dreamt about studying and settling abroad and was in fact planning for Canada myself when my cousin came down I already had given the IELTS exams and was awaiting results.
Just two days before the trip I got my results and scored the number I required for my dream university. 😍
I was super tense about the results being announced and may not have enjoyed the trip as much if the results were declared later or were not as per my expectations… Thank God it did 😀
It’s not usually a thing when our whole family is around and we can get along with them is it, It’s quite a few moments in life.
And this was it… For me.
One of the most memorable trips of 2021, Why?
Because I could spend time with most of the people in my family (And get introduced to new ones as well)
Soon after my cousin left for Canada, I was hoping to have some more trips like these just because it’s extremely precious and enjoyable!
Growing up and having enough life experience, I realized that family trips are in fact more relaxing and enjoyable than the ones we go on with friends.
What do you think?
Do you have memorable trips that are special to you?
What’s your story?
You can share your experience with me in the comments…
I’ll be awaiting your response!

Nice, but would like to know more about it. Like budget, hotels or resorts, food expenses. Resources available etc. These all will actually give an approx idea to plan a trip.
Sure Amit, You can get in touch with the resort they’ll explain you everything in detail
